Nollywood actress Sarah Martins issued an apology regarding her recent roadside cooking activity in Lagos, which drew warnings from the Lagos State government. The Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, cautioned her against such actions, stating she risks arrest and prosecution for violating environmental laws.

In an Instagram post, Martins explained her motivations, stating that her cooking was an emotional response to her interactions with vulnerable street children she often encounters. She emphasized that the cooking took place away from the main road to avoid obstructing traffic or creating public nuisance.

Martins expressed her commitment to adhering to environmental standards in future charitable activities, stating she would ensure that cooking is conducted strictly within her foundation's charity kitchen. She also expressed gratitude for a donation intended to support her foundation's feeding programs, which she clarified was not from Seyi Tinubu, the president's son, but rather from friends helping to raise funds for her charitable work.
