Nollywood Actress Odetola Embraces Ministry and Preaching

On September 26, Nollywood actress Odetola revealed her new calling as a minister and preacher of the gospel through a post on her Instagram page. This announcement follows a shift in her social media activity that raised concerns among friends, family, and colleagues.

Odetola clarified that while she is experiencing significant changes in her life, there is no cause for alarm. She initially considered keeping her new path private but opted to share it publicly to prevent misunderstandings about her activities.

Odetola expressed her intention to potentially preach in public spaces, including on the streets, and requested prayers from her followers as she enters this new season with God. She has had a successful career in both Yoruba and English-language Nollywood productions, recognized for her roles in films such as Binta Ofege and Somewhere in the Dark, and has received several industry accolades, including an award at the City People Movie Awards in 2018.

Odetola has not indicated any plans to retire from Nollywood.
