Nominations Open for Ibadanland's 100 Illustrious Figures

Nominations have commenced for the Compendium of 100 Most Illustrious Sons and Daughters of Ibadanland, a heritage initiative aimed at documenting the lives and legacies of distinguished Ibadan indigenes. A statement from Dada Samuel, representing the organizers, invites individuals, families, institutions, and communities to nominate outstanding figures whose contributions have made significant impacts in various fields.

The project, endorsed by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), seeks to preserve the rich history and heritage of Ibadanland. Nominations are accepted in categories such as law, healthcare, education, business, politics, and more, including both living and deceased individuals.

Nominators must provide the nominee’s full name, category, and a brief reason for the nomination via the project’s official email. The initiative aims to ensure that the stories of both historical and contemporary figures are documented for future generations.
