Ayodele Warns Tinubu of Northern Opposition to Re-Election

Ayodele, a prominent cleric, has issued a stark warning to President Tinubu regarding his re-election ambitions for a second term. In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin, Ayodele highlighted that the northern region of Nigeria has yet to endorse Tinubu's re-election bid and warned that the president should not be misled by false assurances.

He noted that the north remains largely opposed to Tinubu's second-term plans and advised the president to concentrate on genuine engagement with northern leaders. Ayodele cautioned that relying solely on the Citi Boi movement would not secure sufficient support from the region and could instigate unrest.

He emphasized the importance of forming strategic alliances with political and religious figures in the north to bolster Tinubu's chances in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
