Yilwatda Urges Northern Support for Tinubu's Second Term

Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), called on the northern region to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's bid for a second term, stating that anything less would be detrimental to the interests of the north. Yilwatda made this appeal during the inauguration of a 137-member campaign council for the forthcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections, scheduled for February 21.

He highlighted the various projects and reforms initiated by President Tinubu, including infrastructure developments such as railways and dams that would benefit the northern region. Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State expressed gratitude for the support shown to the APC administration and noted the progress made in the state.

Additionally, Hope Uzodinma, the Governor of Imo State, emphasized the need for grassroots mobilization to ensure electoral success. The campaign council aims to strategically mobilize voters and strengthen grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
