North Central APC Endorses Tinubu for 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, during the North Central zonal congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Bola Tinubu was endorsed as the sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections. The motion to adopt Tinubu was moved by Georg Akum and seconded by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, receiving overwhelming support from delegates.

The event attracted significant political stakeholders, including serving governors, former governors, and lawmakers at both national and state levels. Yomi Odunuga, a special adviser on media to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, noted the importance of the North Central region in fostering unity within the party and ensuring alignment among stakeholders ahead of the elections.

Akum emphasized the party's confidence in Tinubu's leadership and the need for continued support for policies aimed at economic recovery and infrastructure expansion. The congress reaffirmed the zone's loyalty to the APC and its commitment to maintaining unity within the party.
