APC North-Central Adopts Tinubu for 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, during the APC North Central Zonal Congress held at the Aliyu Akw Doma Banquet Hall in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Bola Tinubu was adopted as the sole presidential candidate for the 2027 elections. The resolution was reached through a consensus process and a voice vote, with significant attendance from governors, senators, former ministers, and party stakeholders across the zone.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, who is also the chairman of the North Central Governors Forum, seconded the motion to adopt Tinubu, emphasizing the need for continuity in the reforms initiated by Tinubu's administration. The congress also saw the election of new zonal executives, with Nentaw Yilwatda, the APC National Chairman, delivering a message of congratulations to them.

The APC National Convention is scheduled for March 27-28, 2026, at Eagle Square, Abuja. The congress reaffirmed the party's commitment to conducting its activities constitutionally.
