Minister Umahi Inspects Mararaba-Keffi Road Project

Engr David Umahi, the Minister of Works, conducted a routine inspection of the Mararaba-Keffi road project, which spans 43.65 kilometers and is being executed by China Harbour Engineering Company. During the inspection, he expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, reaffirming the federal government's commitment to completing the project by the deadline of March 1, 2028.

Umahi commended JRB Construction Company for their standard work on the Abuja-bound section and emphasized the importance of adhering to approved specifications to avoid substandard infrastructure. He directed contractors to prioritize the completion of outstanding sections and to maintain open communication with the ministry regarding any challenges.

The inspection also included the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road, with a completion deadline set for November 12, 2026. Umahi's efforts are part of a broader initiative to enhance infrastructure development across Nigeria, which is seen as crucial for economic growth and national integration.
