North-West Backs Tinubu for 2027, APC Campaign Council Member Says

At Ranchers Bees Stadium in Kaduna State, the All Progressives Congress formally launched its presidential campaign with backing from party officials that the North-West region fully supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's quest for a second term. Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, serving on the APC Presidential Campaign Council, conveyed this message on Saturday following the campaign's official kick-off event.

The impressive crowd assembled at the venue demonstrated northern commitment to Tinubu's re-election, according to Kwankwaso's assessment. During comments to journalists from the VIP Pavilion, he characterised the event as a conclusive indication of regional backing ahead of the 2027 polls.

The turnout, he argued, showed that North-West voters had already made their electoral determination, identifying Tinubu as their candidate for the upcoming election cycle. During his remarks, the campaign council member also addressed wider governance matters, highlighting national unity and equitable allocation of resources as priorities under the Tinubu administration.

Party dignitaries such as state governors and federal ministers attended the venue, the reports suggest, with entertainment scheduled before the President's arrival at the gathering. The Kaduna event represents the formal commencement of the APC's campaign operations targeting the 2027 election.

Through Kwankwaso's statements, the ruling party is moving to consolidate support across a strategically vital region. The party intends to expand its campaign reach into additional regions as it strengthens its argument for Tinubu's return.
