Northern Governors Condemn Borno Mosque Attack, Call for Enhanced Security Measures

The Northern State Governor Forum, led by Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, strongly condemned the suicide attack at a mosque in Gomboru Market, Maiduguri, Borno State. The incident resulted in the death of at least five worshippers and injuries to 35 others.

Governor Yahaya expressed sympathy for the victims, labeling the attack as barbaric, dastardly, and cowardly. He emphasized the sanctity of places of worship and called for enhanced security measures, especially during festive periods, to combat terrorism and violent extremism in the region.
