NPFL Fines Katsina Utd N9m and Banishes Club to Jos for Fan Hooliganism

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has fined Katsina United N9 million and ordered them to play their subsequent home matches in Jos behind closed doors for the rest of the season. This penalty was imposed due to fan unruly conduct during a match against Barau FC at the Moham Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

The fans threw harmful objects onto the pitch, resulting in injuries to a Barau FC player. Katsina United failed to provide adequate security and ensure proper conduct, leading to the sanctions.
