NPFL: Ikorodu City promotes five youngsters to main team

Ikorodu City has announced the promotion of five young players from their youth team to the senior team for the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The promoted players are Maliq Musa, Samuel Ezekiel, Dagogo Ibifubara, Gift Udoh, and Chiemerie Ezeaka, who have all signed their first professional contracts with the club.

These players have been training with the senior team alongside their teammates in preparation for the new season. The youngsters had previously featured for Ikorodu City Academy in the Nationwide League One promotion playoff in Oyo, where the academy secured promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL).

This move highlights the club's commitment to nurturing young talent and integrating them into the senior team.
