Rivers United Reschedules Fixtures in NPFL Title Race

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has announced the rescheduling of five fixtures for Rivers United as the title race intensifies. The team, known for its pride in Port Harcourt, had earlier matches postponed due to commitments in the CAF Champions League.

The first rescheduled match will see Rivers United travel to Ilorin to face Kwara United on Wednesday, February 22, 2024. This will be followed by a home match against Barau FC on Wednesday, February 25, 2024.

Additionally, a clash against El Kanemi Warriors, originally scheduled for January 28, has been moved to Wednesday, March 4, 2024, at the Adokiy Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. Rivers United will also face Shooting Stars on Thursday, March 12, 2024, in Abeokuta, and conclude their rescheduled fixtures against Niger Tornadoes on Thursday, March 19, 2024, at the Lafia City Stadium.

Coach Finidi George's side is eager to gather momentum in their pursuit of a second NPFL crown.
