Sporting Lagos Extends Coach Jeffery Buter's Contract

Sporting Lagos has officially extended the contract of their head coach, Jeffery Buter, in anticipation of the 2026-27 season. The club announced this extension via their X account.

Buter played a pivotal role in guiding Sporting Lagos to promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season, where he led the team to win the NNL title by finishing at the top of the playoff tournament held in Ikenne. This contract extension acknowledges Buter's hard work and success in returning the team to the top-flight league after a two-year absence.

Sporting Lagos is set to commence their new campaign with a match against Doma United at the Patami Stadium on Sunday, August 30.
