NSA Vows Tough Action Against Election Violence in Anambra State

The National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has pledged to take strict measures against any attempts to disrupt the Anambra State governorship election through violence or intimidation. Ribadu emphasized the commitment of the federal government to safeguard the electoral process and ensure a peaceful and secure voting environment.

Security measures include enhanced coordination among security agencies, intelligence sharing, proactive deployment, and a comprehensive security architecture. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Joash Amupitan, confirmed readiness for the election with logistics arrangements and the deployment of ad hoc personnel across the state.
