NSC Supports Taiwo Awoniyi's Kwara Kiddies League Initiative

The Nigerian Sports Commission (NSC) has pledged its full support for the grassroots football initiative led by Taiwo Awoniyi, a forward for Nottingham Forest and a member of the Super Eagles. During a courtesy visit to the NSC headquarters in Abuja, NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko described the Kwara Kiddies League as a vital project for nurturing the next generation of Nigerian talent.

Awoniyi was accompanied by former Nigerian international and ex-Bundesliga forward Anthony Ujah during this visit. He presented the NSC chairman with an official Nottingham Forest jersey and outlined his vision to expand opportunities for young footballers through the league.

Dikko commended Awoniyi for investing in grassroots sports and assured that the commission is ready to provide the necessary support to ensure the initiative's success. He discussed the broader progress of Nigerian football and the importance of developing strategies to build and sustain athletic talent, particularly at the grassroots level.
