NSC Pays Athletes’ Allowances and Bonuses at Tokyo World Championships, Emphasizes Welfare Commitment

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has disbursed allowances and bonuses to Team Nigeria athletes participating in the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan. NSC Director of Press, Kehinde Ajayi, confirmed this in a statement, emphasizing the government's commitment to the welfare of athletes.

The NSC Director General, Hon. Bukola Olopade, reiterated the importance of supporting athletes and fostering a stronger relationship with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).

Olopade highlighted the government's dedication to improving sports administration in the country. The NSC Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, assured that athletes would receive proper care.

Athletes were urged to exhibit patriotism and good conduct on the world stage.
