NSCIA Plans National Prayer for Nigeria's Stability

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) announced it will convene a Special National Prayer for Nigeria's peace, stability, and progress on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, at the Abuja National Mosque Complex. Abbas Jimoh, the spokesperson for NSCIA, stated that this prayer aims to allow Muslims to collectively seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for the nation.

Following this event, the NSCIA will hold its General Assembly on Thursday, 1 October 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. This assembly is the highest decision-making body of the NSCIA and includes prominent figures such as His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, and other key members like the Deputy President-Generals, Secretary-General, and various Muslim public office holders.

The assembly serves as a platform for discussing issues affecting the Council and the Muslim community in Nigeria. The NSCIA urged all invited members and stakeholders to participate actively in both events.
