NSDC and Lee Group Launch Sugar Project in Niger State

The Niger State Development Council (NSDC) and Lee Group are collaborating to establish a multi-million dollar sugar production project in Niger State. This initiative was discussed during a recent meeting at the Government House in Minna, where Governor Umar Bago assured full support for the project, including the availability of land.

The governor emphasized that Niger State is open to serious investors and will provide the necessary resources, such as land and water, to support the project. Kamar Bakrin, the Chief Executive Officer of NSDC, led the delegation alongside representatives from Lee Group, which has over six decades of experience in the agro-industrial sector, including sugarcane cultivation and processing.

Lam Wing Ki Wilkin, the project director from Lee Group, highlighted the company's long-term investment interest in Niger State, citing its natural advantages for sugar production.
