NSITF Promises Quick Implementation of ECS for Civil Servants

Barrister Oluwaseun Faley, the Managing Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), expressed commitment to the prompt implementation of the Employee Compensation Scheme (ECS) for federal civil servants during a press briefing held in Abuja on Friday. The briefing was attended by Mr.

Didi Esther Walson Jack, head of the Office of Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF). Faley applauded the federal government's recent introduction of a welfare enhancement package for civil servants, describing it as a significant initiative aimed at improving their living standards.

He reiterated NSITF's commitment to the ECS, particularly benefiting federal civil servants through a treasury fund scheme. The establishment of an ECS office within the OHCSF is part of this commitment.

Faley noted that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with the OHCSF to provide professional support and guidance to civil servants regarding the ECS. Mr.

Walson Jack highlighted the introduction of the enhanced package as a historic move under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.
