NTDA Partners FTAN To Drive Tourism Transformation Mandate

The Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA) has announced a partnership with the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) to advance the newly introduced Tourism Transformation Mandate. During a courtesy visit to the NTDA headquarters in Abuja, FTAN President Dr.

Aliyu Badaki praised the NTDA's support and emphasized the need for closer collaboration to prevent discord within the tourism sector. The Tourism Transformation Mandate aims to reposition the private sector for growth and innovation, with FTAN calling for stronger collaboration with the NTDA's Tourism Projects and Investment Department.

NTDA Director General Mr. Ovie Richard Esewhaye highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in funding tourism projects and encouraged FTAN to submit formal recommendations for the NTDA Act review.

The visit concluded with Dr. Badaki being decorated as Tourism Ambassador for Nigeria.
