African Petroleum Regulators Forum Charter Signed for Enhanced Cooperation in Oil Industry.

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) led the signing of a charter in Abuja, with seven African countries, to establish the African Petroleum Regulators Forum (AFRIPERF). The forum aims to enhance cooperation among African petroleum regulators for a sustainable and equitable petroleum industry.

The signing ceremony, attended by regulators from 16 African countries, took place during the Africa Oil Week in Accra, Ghana. The Chairman of the Nigerian Senate Committee Upstream, Senator Etang Williams, was also present at the event.

The forum seeks to promote knowledge sharing and best practices to achieve excellence in petroleum regulation across the region.
