Governor Nwifuru Demands Faster Progress at Aerospace University

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has voiced his concerns regarding the slow pace of construction at the University of Aeronautics and Aerospace Engineering (UAAE) located in Onueke, Ezza South Local Government Area. He pointed out that the UAAE project commenced around the same time as the ICT University in Oferekpe Agbaja, yet the contractors for UAAE have not met expectations.
Nwifuru acknowledged initial engineering challenges due to the site's waterlogged soil but stressed that the project has already gone through two dry seasons with minimal progress. He has instructed the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof Amari Omaka, to closely supervise the contractors, enforce stricter contractual conditions, and increase pressure to accelerate the project's completion.
In addition to the UAAE, Nwifuru's inspection tour included several other significant projects in the state, such as the Reward Estate, the Flyover Tunnel, and the new Ebonyi Hotel, which was originally initiated as the World Trade Centre by the state’s first executive governor, Dr Sam Egwu.
