NDCCITMA Accuses Kenule Nwiya of Summit Disruption

The Niger Delta Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture (NDCCITMA) announced on Sunday that it has identified an alleged scheme by Kenule Nwiya, Chief Executive Officer of Ken-Eva, to disrupt the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit scheduled for September 2026. NDCCITMA's secretary, Solomon Edebiri, stated that the organization had initially chosen not to engage with Nwiya regarding what it termed frivolous claims about trademark usage.

However, they felt compelled to clarify the situation publicly. NDCCITMA confirmed that it registered the name "Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit" with the Federal Ministry of Trade and Industry, with approval received on 16 August 2026.

In contrast, Nwiya's application was submitted on 3 September 2026. NDCCITMA questioned the validity of Nwiya's claims, labeling them as an attempt at blackmail and detrimental to the aspirations of the Niger Delta people.

Despite efforts by regional leaders to mediate, Nwiya allegedly persisted in actions that could jeopardize the summit.
