Over 500 Corps Members Inducted in Zamfara NYSC Ceremony

On Friday, during the induction ceremony for the 2026 Batch Stream II of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), over 500 corps members were formally inducted in Zamfara State. The event took place at the NYSC orientation camp in Gusau, where the Chief Magistrate of Zamfara State, Murtala Abdullahi, administered the oath of allegiance.

Representing Governor Dauda Lawal, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Alhaji Nasiru Galadima Kaura, assured the corps members of their welfare and security throughout their service year. He emphasized that the NYSC scheme serves as a vital platform for promoting national unity and youth development through community service.

The Zamfara State Coordinator of NYSC, Mallam Muhammad Lawan, noted that the orientation course is designed to instill discipline, leadership, and a patriotic spirit among participants, urging them to adhere to camp rules and actively participate to build new friendships.
