NYSC Releases Guidelines for Corps Members' Orientation

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released updated guidelines for prospective corps members in Nigeria as they prepare for the upcoming orientation camp. The NYSC has advised against night travel to ensure the safety of the candidates.

It has also warned that those with discrepancies between the graduation dates on their call-up letters and their statements of results will not be registered at the orientation camp. Affected candidates are instructed to resolve these discrepancies with their Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) prior to reporting to camp.

Additionally, the NYSC emphasized the need for prospective corps members to complete all required documentation, including printing and signing the registration form, which must be submitted during the registration process at the orientation camp. The guidelines also include instructions for candidates seeking to correct their dates of birth, requiring them to obtain a WAEC Verification PIN and follow a specific correction process through their NYSC dashboard.

Compliance with these guidelines is urged to facilitate a smooth registration process.
