NYSC Releases Guidelines for Prospective Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released updated guidelines for prospective corps members in Nigeria ahead of the upcoming orientation exercise. The NYSC advised that corps members should avoid traveling at night to ensure their safety while en route to their assigned orientation camps.

Additionally, the NYSC stated that any corps members with discrepancies between the graduation dates on their call-up letters and their statements of results would not be registered at the orientation camp. Affected candidates are urged to resolve these discrepancies with their respective Student Affairs Officers (SAOs) prior to reporting to camp.

Furthermore, the NYSC emphasized the importance of completing all required documentation before arriving at the camp, including printing, signing, and submitting registration forms. The guidelines also include a procedure for correcting dates of birth, requiring applicants to obtain a WAEC Verification PIN and follow specific steps on their NYSC dashboard.

Compliance with these guidelines is essential for a smooth registration process during the orientation exercise.
