NYSC Postpones 2026 Batch ‘B’ Orientation in Niger State

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) announced the postponement of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I orientation course for prospective corps members deployed to Niger State. This decision was made necessary due to ongoing renovations at the NYSC orientation camp in Paiko, which suffered extensive damage from a recent windstorm.

A press statement issued by the NYSC's Director of Public Relations, Carolin Embu, informed the public about the situation and indicated that the Niger State government is working to restore the affected facilities. The NYSC management has made urgent arrangements to secure an alternative venue for the orientation exercises.

The new commencement date for the orientation course will be communicated to affected prospective corps members. The management expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by the postponement and appealed for understanding and cooperation from the prospective corps members and their families, assuring that updates regarding the new orientation schedule will be provided soon.
