NYSC Unveils 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Orientation Timetable

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the orientation timetable for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2. Mr.

Carolin Embu, the Director of the NYSC, informed the public that the orientation course will last for three weeks and will occur simultaneously across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Registration for prospective corps members will commence on April 22 and conclude at midnight on April 24.

The orientation program will officially begin on April 24, marked by a swearing-in ceremony for the corps members, and will end on May 12. The NYSC has urged Nigerian graduates to ensure safe travel to their orientation camps and has advised against night journeys, recommending that corps members break their journeys after 6:00 PM and find secure lodging nearby.

The orientation course is compulsory and is designed to prepare Nigerian graduates for one year of national service, a scheme established in 1973 to promote national unity and integration.
