The Oba of Benin has disassociated himself from the assault on media personality Pedro Obaseki following comments on a UK event involving former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki. The palace clarified through the Secretary of the Benin Traditional Council, Frank Irabor, that the attack was not authorized by the Oba.
