Kwankwaso: Obi Alliance Focused on Nigeria's Future

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a prominent political figure and former governor, stated in an exclusive interview that the alliance with Peter Obi is centered on the betterment of Nigeria, rather than being driven by religious or regional sentiments. He dismissed allegations that the alliance was politically motivated to assist Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election campaign in 2027.

Kwankwaso asserted that the newly formed Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) aims to provide an alternative platform for Nigerians, particularly focusing on education, security, and job opportunities for the youth. He criticized the current Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for perceived political betrayal and emphasized that the Sai Movement remains strong despite recent defections.

Kwankwaso noted that the NDC is gaining traction, with millions of Nigerians showing interest in the movement, which will hold a convention at the end of the month to make significant decisions, including the emergence of candidates.
