PDP Welcomes Peter Obi's Potential Return, Eyes Stronger 2027 Election Prospects

Chief Dan Ulasi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expressed strong support for the potential return of former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to the PDP ahead of the 2027 general election. Ulasi highlighted Obi's credibility and popularity, stating that his rejoining the PDP would significantly boost the party's chances.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, had defected to the Labour Party in 2022 after contesting the 2019 elections under the PDP. Ulasi acknowledged Obi's significant youth support during the 2023 campaign under the Obidient Movement.

The PDP chieftain emphasized the importance of Obi's potential return in strengthening the party's position for the upcoming elections.
