OK Movement Rejects NDC's Call for Structural Integration

The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, also known as the OK Movement, has firmly rejected the Nigeria Democratic Congress's (NDC) request to dissolve its organizational structures in preparation for the 2027 elections. John Ughulu, the Director-General of the OK Movement, stated that the group will not surrender its national, state, local government, and ward structures to the NDC.

This response follows comments made by NDC National Leader Seriake Dickson, who argued that support groups should complement political parties rather than operate independently. Dickson described the OK Movement's establishment of a presidential campaign council as “unheard of” and “nonsensical.” In contrast, Ughulu asserted that the OK Movement is an independent political organization, distinct from conventional support groups, and comprises members from various political parties supporting the NDC's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Ughulu emphasized the need for a proper definition of the OK Movement's identity and status in the current political landscape.
