Obi's Aide Denies Bwala's Claims of Political Dealings

Daniel Bwala, a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, claimed that Peter Obi attempted to enlist support for his 2023 presidential campaign. In response, Ibrahim Umar Deni, Obi's aide, firmly rejected Bwala's assertions, stating that Obi had not engaged in any political transactions to recruit support.

Umar's statement, made on Friday, emphasized that Obi's approach to politics is rooted in the pursuit of good governance and the creation of a better society, rather than engaging in questionable political dealings. He also addressed Bwala's request for a meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which was declined.

Umar reiterated that Obi's political activities are focused on sustainable engagement with the people and called on Bwala to abandon what he termed "baseless accusations." He invited Bwala and others to join Obi's vision for a new Nigeria, underscoring that Obi's commitment is to the public good rather than personal gain.
