Obi, Not Tinubu Won 2023 Presidential Poll, Says Ex-SGF Babachir Lawal

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, stated that Peter Obi, not Bola Tinubu, would win the 2023 presidential election. Lawal, speaking on Channels Television's Politics Today, mentioned that the political landscape has changed since the last election and believes Obi could repeat his success in 2027.

He emphasized the importance of a candidate who can produce results and address the issues facing the country. Lawal expressed optimism about an opposition coalition winning the 2027 election due to the hardships caused by the current administration's policies.

He also highlighted the need for unity in the North and the importance of voting as a bloc to achieve common goals. Lawal acknowledged that electability is crucial in Nigerian politics and emphasized the need for a candidate who understands and can solve the challenges facing the country.
