Obi Criticized for Remarks on Nnamdi Kanu's Incarceration

Peter Obi, a presidential flagbearer for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has come under fire for his recent comments regarding the continued incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu. Ejimofor Opara, an aide to Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, labeled Obi's remarks as "careless" and "self-serving," stating they undermine the integrity of the Nigerian judiciary.

Opara made these comments in a Facebook post, arguing that Obi's statements were a direct insult to judicial institutions in Nigeria and Finland. He pointed out the irony of Obi's position, recalling that Obi himself benefited from the legal system during his tenure as Anambra governor.

Opara warned that Obi's approach could jeopardize the integrity of judicial processes and criticized him for pandering to criminal elements. He also referenced the upcoming legal proceedings involving Kanu, emphasizing the need for careful statements regarding the judiciary.
