Kogi Governor Ododo Launches Health Sector Reforms, Prioritizes Healthcare Workers

Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State launched comprehensive health sector reforms, including expanded health insurance coverage and revitalization of primary healthcare centers across the state. The initiative aims to make quality healthcare accessible, affordable, and sustainable for all residents.

Ododo announced incentives for medical personnel, such as allowances for doctors posted in rural areas, and plans to sponsor the training of 100 doctors annually in partnership with universities. The reforms seek to address manpower gaps in the healthcare sector and prioritize the welfare of health workers.
