Odogwu Asaba Remanded Over Alleged Rape and Death

Ifeanyi Ogbonna, a content creator popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, has been remanded at the Ogwashi-Uku Maximum Correctional Centre by a Delta State High Court due to allegations of rape and the subsequent death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro. The remand application was granted on Friday, September 4, 2026, after investigations concluded, with autopsy and toxicology results provided to the police.

Awele Ideal, counsel for Favour’s family, confirmed that these results, along with other evidence, were included in the investigation report for prosecution. Ideal is representing the family pro bono and is committed to pursuing justice for Favour.

Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Media, also confirmed Ogbonna's remand on social media. The case gained public attention after Favour allegedly recorded a video recounting her experience with Ogbonna, who had invited her to Asaba for a content creation training program.
