Morocco has been officially recognized as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) champions after the Senegal National Football Team forfeited the final match. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) ruled in favor of Morocco, citing Senegal's walk-off during the match held in Rabat on January 18.

As a result, Morocco's FIFA ranking has seen an increase, bringing their total points to 1,754, a rise of 59.02 points. This ranking update reflects the CAF's decision and is expected to be formally announced on April 1.
