Isbae U Remembers Late Actor Ogogo as Father Figure

Popular Nigerian skit maker Isbae U has expressed his grief over the passing of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, who died on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a prolonged battle with stage-four cancer. He was buried the following day, August 24, 2026, at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground in Ilaro.

Isbae U took to social media to share a video post featuring moments with Ogogo, describing him as a genuine paternal presence who filled the void left by his own father's death. In a separate tribute, Isbae U posted a vintage photograph of his biological father alongside Ogogo, emphasizing the deep connection between the two men in his life.

Ogogo was celebrated for his decades of work in the Nigerian film industry and was regarded as one of Nollywood's most beloved Yoruba actors.
