Oyo Prince Mourns Veteran Actor Taiwo Hassan's Passing

Prince Ayobami Sanda Ladigbolu took to Facebook on 24 August 2026 to mourn the passing of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. Hassan died on 23 August 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m. after a prolonged battle with stage-four cancer, at the age of 66.

In his tribute, Ladigbolu described the moment he received the news as deeply moving, stating it brought him to tears, a rare occurrence for him regarding the death of a public figure. He praised Hassan for his rare and adaptable intelligence, which allowed him to convincingly portray his roles.

Ladigbolu also noted Hassan's ability to navigate the pressures of public life and fatherhood, earning the genuine admiration of his children and colleagues. The tribute reflects the significant impact Hassan had on those around him, both personally and professionally.
