APC's Consensus Strategy for Ogun 2027 Governorship Election

In an interview on Thursday, Damilar Oloyed, the new media aide to Olamilekan Adeola, defended the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate strategy for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election. He emphasized that this approach, which emerged from a stakeholder meeting on April 14, 2026, is crucial for stabilizing the party and consolidating its structure.

Oloyed noted that key stakeholders, including Governor Dapo Abiodun and former governors, have aligned behind Adeola to ensure APC's victory and prevent internal crises. He dismissed the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC) as lacking grassroots presence and cohesion, asserting they pose no serious challenge in the upcoming elections.

Oloyed highlighted the importance of sustaining the policies of the current administration led by Abiodun and expressed confidence in Adeola's candidacy, urging party members to unite for electoral success.
