Abiodun Endorses Yayi as APC Consensus Candidate for 2027

Governor Dapo Abiodun has officially adopted Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, as the consensus candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 Ogun State governorship election. This strategic move aims to break the political ambiguity surrounding the candidacy and replace it with a clear mandate, marking a significant shift in the state's political trajectory since its creation in 1976.

The decision comes as the APC seeks to consolidate its leadership and avoid internal conflicts ahead of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) primaries scheduled for May 30, 2026.
