Gateway International Airport in Ogun State Receives Historic Aerodrome Permit

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) granted the Gateway International Airport in Ogun State the historic Nigeria Aerodrome Operational Permit (AOP), making it the first airport in the country to achieve this certification. The approval signifies a significant milestone in enhancing aviation infrastructure and connectivity in Nigeria.

The Gateway International Airport met all requirements, including the installation of Instrument Landing Measuring Equipment on Runway 23, ensuring safe and unrestricted operations. Governor Abiodun hailed the certification as a validation of the state's vision to become a hub for commerce, investment, and global connectivity.

The airport's certification is expected to boost job opportunities, reduce congestion at Lagos airport, and provide direct international market access.
