Ogun State Implements Community Service for Waste Offenders to Ensure Cleaner Environment

Ogun State government, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, is cracking down on environmental offenders by implementing community service as punishment for those caught dumping waste on roads. Ola Oresanya, the Commissioner for Environment, emphasized the prohibition of dumping refuse on roads and the need for residents to properly dispose of waste.

The state is investing in new trucks and equipment to enhance waste management practices. Additionally, the Ministry of Environment is shutting down religious centers violating noise regulations and encouraging residents to report disturbances.

The government is focused on promoting daily sanitation practices and ensuring compliance with environmental laws.
