Odebiyi Praises Adeola as APC Consensus Guber Candidate

Tolu Odebiyi, representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, praised Solomon Olamilekan Adeola's emergence as the consensus gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogun State. In a statement issued on Tuesday and made available on Wednesday in Abuja, Odebiyi described Adeola's selection as a historic development that signifies a major boost for unity within the party.

He noted that this decision marks the end of a long-standing quest for the governorship ticket by the Ogun West zone. Odebiyi emphasized that the consensus arrangement reflects shared commitment among party leaders and underscores the importance of internal democracy within Ogun APC.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for fostering unity and ensuring a smooth process that led to Adeola's emergence. Odebiyi also acknowledged the contributions of prominent party leaders, including former governors Olusegun Osoba, Dapo Abiodun, Gbenga Daniel, and Ibikunle Amosun, in guiding the consensus decision.
