Ogwuche Sets Conditions to Hold El-Rufai Accountable

Festus Ogwuche, a legal practitioner, has outlined the conditions under which he would hold former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai accountable for the alleged interception of Nuhu Ribadu's telephone communications. Ogwuche's remarks were made during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday.

He indicated that El-Rufai could be considered an accessory to conspiracy regarding the phone tapping incident. This follows a report that Ribadu's phone was tapped, which El-Rufai has admitted to, alongside other instances of phone conversations being intercepted.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Ribadu was taken into custody shortly after operations related to independent corrupt practices were conducted by the ICPC. Sources from the EFCC confirmed this information to Punch on Wednesday night, and Ribadu was released shortly after being picked up by the ICPC.
