Ohanaeze Ndigbo Backs Governor Otti's Leadership in Abia

The Abia State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has passed a vote of confidence in Governor Alex Otti, commending his commitment to uplifting the standard of living for residents. In a statement released in Umuahia, spokesperson Godwin Adindu emphasized the need for a viable opposition in the state.

The organization noted significant transformations in various sectors, including health, education, and infrastructure, under Otti's leadership over the past three years. They praised his infrastructural renewal efforts in Aba and his initiatives to promote Igbo culture, such as making the study of the Igbo language compulsory in secondary schools.

Additionally, Otti's administration has encouraged cultural expression by requiring executive council members to wear native attire weekly. Ohanaeze Ndigbo assured that they would continue to recognize outstanding leaders within the Igbo community and advocate for the socio-economic and political interests of the Igbo people.
