Peter Obi Rejects Unauthorized OK Movement Campaign Council

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), expressed his disapproval of the presidential campaign council established by the OK Movement, stating it was created without his knowledge or approval. During an interview on Arise News, Obi urged support groups, including the OK Movement, Obedient group, and Kwankwasiyya, to focus on their roles as supporters of the NDC rather than acting as a political party.

He aligned with the position of the NDC national leader, Seriake Dickson, emphasizing that the NDC is the political party to which they all belong. Obi stated, “The campaign council of the OK movement was not created with my knowledge or approval.

Not at all. I state it here: it is wrong.” He insisted that any actions taken by support groups must have express approval from both him and Kwankwaso, highlighting the need for adherence to directives within the party structure.
