OK Movement Calls for NDC Apology Over Campaign Council Remarks

The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, known as the OK Movement, has called for an immediate apology from the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) due to comments made by the party’s National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, regarding the movement's 59-member Presidential Campaign Council. The OK Movement, represented by National Secretary Saadatu Sani, stated that Cleopas's remarks were unacceptable and undermined its identity as an independent political organization.

The dispute arose after the OK Movement unveiled its campaign council on Thursday to support the NDC presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso for the 2027 elections. Cleopas later distanced the NDC from the council, asserting that it was unauthorized and should not be recognized as an official structure.

Sani emphasized that the OK Movement is not a temporary campaign group and will maintain its organizational independence while continuing to support the NDC candidates. She demanded Cleopas withdraw his statements and apologize to the OK Movement and its Director General, Hon. John Ughulu.
